Why is there no pricing on this site?

Because a price without a diagnosis is a guess. Every engagement is scoped from what the problem actually is, then priced from that scope. The application tells us the problem; the audit confirms it; the proposal prices it. What we can say: engagements typically begin in the low four figures, and the Zero-Spend Guides are a few hundred dollars.

Why does the application come before a call?

Because your time matters and so does ours. The application is the intake: it captures the problem in your words, what it's costing you, and what success looks like. The system scores it instantly and either books you into a paid audit or tells you honestly that we're not the right fit. Nobody sits through a 20-minute call that shouldn't happen.

Why does the audit cost money?

Two reasons. First, the diagnosis is real work and real value — you leave with a root cause, a success metric, and a scoped path whether or not you hire us. Second, it filters. People who won't pay $450 for a diagnosis weren't going to pay for the fix. The fee is credited in full toward any project booked within 30 days.

What happens after I apply?

You get a verdict in under a minute, by email. Fit: you can book the Forge Audit immediately (45 minutes, founder-led). Not yet: you'll get the guide that fits your stage plus a couple of useful emails. Not a fit: you'll get honest pointers to what would actually help, and the door stays open.

Who actually does the work?

The founder. Directly. No account managers, no bait-and-switch to a junior team, no outsourcing. You talk to the person doing the engineering, the books, and the builds.

What does 'guaranteed work-product ownership' mean?

On final payment, everything is yours: code, prompts, workflows, documents, accounts — transferable, documented, no lock-in. If we build it, you own it. That promise is also why the stack is built on open, self-hostable foundations: your systems don't die because a vendor changed a plan.

How is my data handled, especially with AI involved?

Minimum necessary, encrypted at rest, never sold or shared. Where AI touches your data, the model calls are gated and logged, and genuinely sensitive material (financial data, PII) runs through local or privacy-controlled paths — never pasted into arbitrary tools. See the AI Data Handling page for the specifics.

What if I'm not a fit?

Then we say so, fast, and point you at what would actually help — often free. Roughly speaking, we're right for operating businesses and serious pre-launch founders with a real, costly problem. Idea-stage explorers get honest redirection rather than a pitch.
